Robert Ward's wife, Mary Rickabaugh (1785-1864), is my g+grandmother. An earlier mg in Scioto Co Ohio, July 10, 1808, also appears to be theirs.

Family documents say she was md first to a McKenzie, and had daughter Sarah McKenzie (1804-1885) who md Lewis Leach and stayed in Ohio.

Mary "Polly" Rickabaugh McKenzie Ward and her husband lived in Jackson (later Vinton) co OH until early 1830's when they went to Knox Co IL with their children, most of whom stayed there.

We do not know which Rickabaugh family she is connected with, possibly Adam's? An older cousin now deceased remembered visits from his grandmother Mantie Rickabaugh at his home in Illinois. Possibly Samantha? but have not found anyone of this name in the Rickabaugh family.
