Kathleen Rogalla shared this obituary of Sophia Rickabaugh, daughter of David Henry Rickabaugh and Nancy Davis of Jackson County, Ohio>Indiana>Iowa>Missouri. After her marriage Sophia lived in Kansas and died near Ringwood, OK.

The whole vicinity was greatly shocked Tuesday morning when the news went
out that Grandma Srader was dead. She had complained for the past two weeks
of being blind at times, but was able to keep up with her housework, and
went to bed Monday night as usual, but remarked to her husband that the room
was too warm to sleep. After two o'clock she spoke to him again, saying
that the night had grown so pleasant to sleep. Those were her last words.

Miss Sophia Rickabaugh was born April 28, 1842, in Jackson county, Ohio, and
was married t Joseph P. Srader Dec. 22, 1854. To this union was born
thirteen children, four sons and three daughters of whom survive. They are
Mrs. Mary Gilbert, of Lebanon, Kans., Curt Srader Bunker Hill, Kans., Mrs.
Myrtle Rader and George Srader of Towanda, Kans., Tom and Frank Srader of
Ringwood, Okla., and Mrs. Maud Bray of Cleo, Okla. Besides these children
an aged husband is left to mourn her loss.

Deceased has been a member of the U.B. church since girlhood. The funeral
was cnducted on Thursday at 3 o'clock by Elder Fakes of the Christian Church
and the remains laid to rest in the Pleasant Valley cemetery.

We wish to thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness during our sad
J.P. Srader and Children
