I am pretty Sure Samual Married Sarah, we have relatives that are Bonds and I always wondered where that came from, thanks. I was speaking to dad last night and he remembers his grandfather, John Ben speaking about the Rideout that moved to the states. Dad ( Cecil ) is Arch's oldest son. Arch jr is actually in the middle of the 14 kids so I am not sure why he was the only child listed, Dad has twin sisters younger than me.

Nan, Charlotte Rideout, keeps track of all her kids, grandkids,. etc. she send everyone birthday cards. she is sending out well over a hundred a year right now. That is just direct decendants. She is currently living with one of her daughters in Frenchman's cove and I can give you her e-mail address if you like and you can write to her directly. She can certainly help your search.

I am not sure if you have anything before Samuel, I remember reading one time, not sure where, that Samuel was one of three brother that came from England and settled in different parts of Newfoundland, I am not sure how accurate that is. I think one of my aunts actually did some seaching but I am not sure what she found. You can e-mail me directy at

Thanks for the info so far and keep in touch.

Cousin Dave
