Gravesites: Jemima Davis, wife of Abraham, their son Benjamin and more

I don't know if anyone else has posted this information, but in researching Haverhill, MA for Rideout ancestry, I came across a website that has the burial places of Jemima Davis, 2nd wife of Abraham Rideout, their son Benjamin Rideout, and her 2nd husband, James HOLGATE, and several of their children. The website lists them by name, and if you click on the name, it shows photos and inscriptions of the stones. The Cemetary is the Pentucket Cemetary in Haverhill.

Also, you can click on a link to a story about the Throat Distemper Plague that hit Haverhill during those years. It took 4 of the Holgate/Davis Rideout children. The family is mentioned in a rare book by a clergyman of the time. That bit of history is here: (Scroll down for Holgate entry): http://www.arches.uga.edu/~wprokasy/haverhill/distemper.htm

What a year it was for Jemima Davis and her family.

On December 1, 1737, she lost Judith, 11 years old
On December 10th, she lost Benjamin Rideout
On December 12, she lost Deborah, age 13
On December 20, she lost Abigail
On December 25, she lost James

Can you imagine losing 5 children in a month? I wonder if they packed up and left the area after their kids died, because Jemima didn't pass for another 8 years or so. Did James Holgate live much longer, and did they have any kids that survived the plague?

Well, again, I hope this is not redundant information, but I know I was excited to come across it.
