Thanks for such a quick response. I have been in touch via telecon with Katherine Tweed at the Maine Maritime Museum. She was the source that confirmed the last name of the builder. Our review of the ship's register copy cursive writing looked like "Richard". Glad to get the correct surname.

The museum indicated that few plans and/or photographs/pictures are available prior to 1860. She did, however, give me leads to some of the later owners and ship's agents. I'm moving in that direction.

But any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
