So it seems that none of these Rideouts went to Newfoundland? Any record of a Samuel (born 1813-1833) who went to Newfoundland from New Brunswick? Any of the children of Nicholas move to Newfoundland? You mention in your original posting that deces of this Nicholas went to Newfoundland. Have seen at least 2 postings that say that the Samuel of Newfoundland is related to the Rideout family of Hollis NH, perhaps a son of one of these New Brunswick Ridoeuts/ Would love to see some documentaion of the origin of Samuel Rideout (one of the Frenchman's Cove Newfie Rideouts).
