I have just purchased The History of The Ancient Ryedales - (two volumes), by G.T.
Ridlon. This an excellent resource for
not only the Ridlon descendants, also
family surnames of Riddell, Riddle, Ridley.
etc. Fully illustrated with engravings of
portraits, residences, monuments,
coat-of-arms, and autographs. It was
published by G.T. Ridlon in 1884.
Unfortunately, it is in the rare and
out-of-circulation books.. My edition was
published by Tuttle Antiquarian Books, 28
South Main St., Rutland, VT 05701.
Telephone (802) 773-8229. I ordered through
Barnes & Nobles, but in the future I'll order
through Tuttle direct.

Good Luck in your research!
Dee Johnson
