The founder of Rieck's Milk, Edward E. Rieck, was my great-grandfather. Eventually he joined with the McJunkin family to create Rieck-McJunkin which was the major dairy supplier in Pittsburgh, PA for awhile. They even had Disney as a sponsor and Walt Disney World in Florida had (or may still have) and exibit on the dairy. I believe during WWII, they sold the dairy off and gave the dairy farm to the government. The government then sold it to the city of Pittsburgh, and it became the old Pittsburgh International Airport. The New Pittsburgh International Airport has a presentation on the dairy farm as well. I believe the dairy eventually got absorbed by the Kraft family. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions!
