Dear Norbert: Just found your message on Genforum Genealogy. I feel I can supply you with much interesting mail. RIEGER is one of my lines and according to family history our RIEGERS came from Baden Baden, Germany; probably in the l848 immigration. Have this documented somewhere but so excited to find your message that I have not looked for my census records. Our progenitor was a Michael Rieger and his wife Moneken (Maiden name unknown.)
Their daughter, Margaret, (born 9 Feb., 1831,in Germany) accompanied them. There may have been other children born in Germany also but it is from Margaret that I descend. She was my great grandmother and Michael and Moneken were my great-great grandparents. My g-g-grandmother (Moneken) gave birth to twin girls on the Atlantic Ocean on their trip to America and they both lived to maturity and married.

I have much, much more RIEGER information that I can share with you. This particular RIEGER family settled in St. Louis County, Missouri. There is a RIEGER Rd. named after them and RIEGER descendants still live on RIEGER RD!

Enough for now. I urgently look forward to your reply.
