Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I am in search of information on the Ricke line of my family and have come across information that suggests that the name could have also been spelled Rieke. My g-grandmother was Margaret Mary Ricke (b. 29 Nov 1879). Her parents were John Herman Ricke (b. Dec 1847, Germantown, Clinton Co., Ill./d. 1907, Barber Co., Kan.) and Mary Schmitz (b. 6 Jan 1857, Franklin Co., Ind./d. 1916 Sharon, Barber Co., Kan.) They were married 6 Apr 1872 in Conception Jct., Nodaway Co., Mo. There other children were Francis Henry, Herman Joseph, Herman Francis, Agnes, Herman J., and William John.
The parents of John Herman Ricke were John Casper and Margaret Dust.
