Hello Tom, I am so glad to hear from you. I have lots of information. OK to contact me directly through my personal email address, not sure it is posted on the geneology web site, just let me know and I can pass it on. I got a response from Nancy Nohl in West Allis, WI. She has done a considerable amount of research on the family tree. I see your name listed on that tree along with your children's names. I was born in 1949 in Waukesha, WI and grew up in Wauwatosa. I have lived in Seattle, WA since 1977. My sister Marsha still lives in Milwaukee.
Your dad and my dad(Victor Munz) were best friends, cousins, growing up. Also another cousin, Lester, son of John Walter Riesing, all born in 1918. I have family pictures with him, your grandfather (Edward Charles) and great grandfather Herman Walter Riesing. Nancy and I are working on figuring out how many children Herman Walter Riesing and his wife Amelia Florence Holz Riesing really had, the records are not clear. Herman Walter was the son of John Riesing (1823-1874) and Ulricka Odetreich (1824-1894) who came over from Germany. They had 9 children. Nancy Nohl sent me a 7 page family tree I can send to you. Nancy and you and me share the same great-great grandparents. For the past year I have been assembling old photos passed onto me from my dad, into an album and I plan to visit her late in January to go over the information. My dad was so fond of your dad, Walter, he saved his death memorial announcement and it is mounted in this album. Stay in touch, would be glad to share more info with you. Karen Munz
