I'm working my way through family pictures and have come across a picture postcard. Researching the style of the card, I've determined that it was made between 1907-1918.
On the back is written either Paul Rieling or Riesing. I don't find that name in any of my husband's family. Little Paul appears to be about 2 yrs. old. In this time frame, my husband's paternal family was in Missouri (came to CA > OR > WA > OR in the early 1920's.) and the maternal family was in Washington State/Oregon. Prior to that, our Heath line was in New York > Wisconsin > Illinois > Wisconsin. (They went back and forth between Wisconsin and Illinois a few times.)
The name appears to be written: "Rieling", but as we know, the letters "l" and "s" sometimes look really similar. I'd be really pleased to know who this little guy belongs to. If you'd like to see the picture (front and back) please send me your email address and I will scan it and send it to you.
Thank you for any clues or information.
Happily in Christ,
