Victoria was the 7th child of David (April 1, 1856-Jan. 5, 1929) & Sarah Jane Rowe Rife (Oct. 28th, 1856 - August 14, 1939) David was the son of Elijah and Malinda Robinson Rife. Sarah Jane was the daughter of Solomon and Lavina Breeding Rowe. Sarah's nickname was "Sally". I've about two pages of information about them and their marriage. They were my great, great grandparents. David and Sally are buried in their own cemetery on the mountain across from my grandparents home in Stacy, Virginia.

David and Sally had 10 children: Augustus, Albert L., Cosby, Mary, Samuel R., Wallis (who died in infancy), John A., Victoria, Oscar and Admiral Dewey (who was my grandfather). Admiral Dewey's son, A.D. Jr., compiled a book about the family. If you don't already have the info you were researching, I'd be happy to share the results of his work.
