HANS (JOHN) GEORGE REIFF WAS BORN ABT. 1659 IN PFALZ, PALATINATE, PROVIDENCE,GERMANY, AND DIED DECEMBER 1726 in philadelphia county pa. he married anna maria abt. 1690 IN PFALZ, PALATINATE PROVIDENCE GERMANY. SHE DIED ABT. JAN. 28.1753.
HANS (JOHN) GEORGE REIFF WAS A SMITH (BLACK SMITH) A MEMBER OF THE GERMAN REFORMED CHURCH. in 1724 HE SET UP A TRUST WITH DEED OF LAND TO THE MENNONITES (TRUSTEES WERE ENDEAVORED TO PROVIDE FOR THE EDUCATION, RELIGIOUS WORSHIP, AND BURIAL GROUND FOR THE MENNONITES) HE IS BELIEVED TO HAVE ARRIVED IN THE PORT OF PHILADELPHIA IN THE LATTER PART OF THE 17 CENTURY. SHORTLY AFTER PENN SET UP HIS GOVERNMENT. CHILDREN; PETER 1694, MARRIED MARAGET SMITH, CONRAD B. JACOB, AND ANNA MARIA. HOPE THIS HELPS
