Hi Peggy, my first name is also Peggy, but I use my middle name Lynn. Lily Rife Henderson is my great-aunt, my grandmother Ola Rife Kennedy's sister.
Lily's parents are James Marshall Rife b. Feb. 28, 1868 d. May 18, 1928, buried in Hopewell Cemetery, Tunas, MO and Margaret Ellen Sears, b. July 26, 1873, d. Sept. 11, 1904, buried in Hopewell Cemetery.
Lily's siblings:
Orvel, b. May 7, 1893, d. Jan. 29, 1955
Ruth, b. Aug. 11, 1894, m. Lawrence Frichette, d. Sept. 26, 1980 in Springfield, MO
Rosa, b. 1896
Elsa, b. 1898 m. Paul Mackey
Ola, b. Sept. 17, 1900, married James B. Kennedy, d. Oct. 22, 1991, buried Hermitage Cemetery, Hickory Co., MO
We visited Lily in Kansas when I was a little girl, but I don't remember the town. Do you know where and when she died? Are Thomas and Lucille still living? My mother is still alive and Kenneth Rife, Orvel's son is still alive.
I'm doing a bit of research on James Marshall and have been told his dad is Aaron Rife, born in Gallia Co., OH and mother Matilda Yeager
As you may know, James Marshall married Lou Ellen Steele after Margaret Sears died and there are three more children - Cora, Zelma and Woodrow.
