Rife/Bowman Marriage?
Posted by: Carol J. Bowman Date: July 16, 2000 at 07:14:37

Do any of you have any Reifs married to Bowmans?

My ancestor, Jacob Bowman, apparently had a wife named Anna. Jacob Bowman, Anna Bowman, Betsila Bowman, and Anna Bowman, Junr., are listed on the log of the Ship Mortonhouse, August 17, 1729, from Rotterdam to Philadelphia.

On that same ship's log were Jacob Reeif and his wife Freenick Reeif (both formerly in Pa.).

I have wondered if Anna Bowman's maiden name might have been Reif since both of these families seemed so closely tied to one another down through the years.

Any help out there in Reif land?
