I believe Benajamin was the same individual who appeared earlier in Fairfax Co., VA along with John Rigg and Benedicta Rigg (widow of Townley Rigg).Benjamin, Townley, and John were three of the 8 children of Thomas Rigg who died in 1761 in Charles Co., MD.Townley and his brother Charles (orphans) were indentured to Sarah Scroggan by the Nov 1771 Charles Co., Court.Later, Charles and his brother Thomas moved to Stokes Co., NC (via Henry Co., VA).Thomas died there in 1796.Some of the youger Thomas's descendents moved to the Greenup Co. KY - Wayne Co. WV - Lawrence Co. OH area.Charles appears briefly in Gallia Co., OH between 1808 and 1812 before purchasing land in Greenup Co., KY.One of his sons, Samuel married in Wood Co., VA (now Wirt Co., WV) to Rachel Beauchamp in January 1814.Descendents of Benjamin, Townley and Charles Rigg all moved to what is now Wabash Co., IL at an early date.
For information on the elder Thomas Rigg who died in Charles Co., MD in 1761, see
