COUSHATTA, LA - Funeral services for Mark Riggs, 52, of Coushatta, LA will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Davis Springs Southern Methodist Church with Bro. Olan McLaren officiating. Interment will follow in Davis Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home.

Mr. Riggs was born May 1, 1957 in Hays, KS and passed away suddenly October 22, 2009. He was a member of Davis Springs Southern Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandad and his grandchildren were the love of his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Maxine Riggs.

Mr. Riggs is survived by his wife, Barbara McLaren Riggs of Coushatta, LA.; one son, Jeremy Riggs & wife, Joni of Fairview Alpha, LA; one daughter, Jennifer Riggs of Shreveport, LA; four grandchildren, Jaylee Riggs, Jackson Riggs, Jammeson McIntyre, and Julia Grace Riggs; three brothers, David Riggs and wife, Colleen of Campti, LA, Paul Riggs and wife, Brenda of Coushatta, LA, and Tim Riggs of Dallas, TX; one sister, Linda Cason and husband, Buddy of Coushatta, LA; Father and Mother-in-Law, Olan and Ethylene McLaren of Fairview Alpha, LA; two brothers-in-law, Phillip McLaren and wife, Cindy and Ken McLaren and wife, Theresa; two sisters-in-law, Melissa Frye and husband, Henry and Lori Riggs; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Williams, Larry Holman, Ronald Dale Smith, Mike Cason, Johnny Giddings, Kenny Kimler, George Carney, and John Pinckard. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Custis, Johnny Adams, Max Pepper, and Roy Lynn Carney.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Davis Springs Memorial Fund.

Funeral services under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home, Coushatta, LA, 318-932-4362.
