Hi Ken,
I am still looking !! I have emailed with Alta Chinault, who is descended from Summers Rigsby, and she says all their branch was from around Richwood, Nicholas County, WV which is where my grandmother was born, so I am hoping I can find the link. I am going to write to Nicholas Co again and see if I can find info on John & Harriet. Thank you for the lead on Harriet's maiden name . . . other than the census, I cannot find anything so far. When I do, I will let you know! I have my grandmother's birth record from Nicholas Co., also her marriage record from Harrison Co., so I know she was a Rigsby . . . now to find John Lake! Alta is going to send me a listing of all her family, so maybe I can find a lead in there somewhere!
Thanks again for your help! Do you know how I could find that information you mentioned about Lake Rigsby being on a website . . . and the siblings names? Maybe I could email whoever put the information online . . . they must know! I did find a Myrtle Rigsby about the right age in Durham Co., NC, and a Guy Rigsby in the SSDI, and a "Bazil" in a cemetary listing somewhere . . .
I will let you know when I find John & Harriet et al !!!
Thanks, Donna
