I have been working on my husband's line of Rigsby in conjunction with several other people.
Let me tackle at least one question at this time.
Thomas' son Thomas was Thomas Lewis. He was b. 8/10/1854 and d. 10/14/1931 in Webster Co. W. Va. and is buried in the Primitive Baptist Church. He married Elizabeth Jane Grimes on 12/23/1874 in Pocahontas Co. W. Va.
This is the direct line of the person who gave me this info.
She also tells me that Wallace L.a son from his second was "Lake". He was b. 6/1876 in Crawford Co. Ia. I don't know if this has anything to do with the Lake that the other woman was reseaching, but thought that might be of interest to both of you.
Another of my correspondents is direct line of Summers Rigsby, whose mother was MaryJane Spence.
I show Nancy as b. 1868 and George b. 1871, Wallace 1876, Viola 1878, Summers 1880 and Blanche 1882.
The Simms comes from the same source as above and I quote again. John R. married Harriet Lee Simms 2/27/1865 - 12/4/1925, d/o Nicholas and Mary (McClure) Simms. Children Myrtle 1/1881, Bazzle 12/1882, Thomas L. 2/1886 and Mary P. 1890.
Well, I guess that was more than one thing, wasn't it?
