The Dildines in 1850 were in White County.
George, Rachael, and Aaron were with Mary
and Ammon (James Ammon Dildine). Ammon
is living in Smith County with another
Mary in 1860. We are not 100 percent
sure Caledonia was a Dildine but cannot
prove it or disprove it. Ammon Dildine and Alexander
Barclay were killed by deserters in Buffalo
Valley TN in 1863. We have James Dildine's
will and the children of Ammon were listed.
No Caledonia was named. Do you know if
her name was also Josephine????. That would
answer a lot of questions. We keep searching.
I am interested if you have any more on the
children of Caledonia and Andrew Risgby.
Maybe some of them down the line have researched
her family. We keep searching. Thank you again.
