Hi Diana

OK, great. Your Cynthia's line goes like this:

Her parents were Joseph Wilburn Rigsby born 1842-04-xx
Lawrence Co KY + Delila Thyrza Sagraves born 1842-05-xx KY.
Delila's parents were Stephen Sagraves + Susannah Deboard.
They had 7 children, Cynthia being the oldest. Joseph is on
the census in Johnson Co KY in 1870, 1880, and 1900.

Joseph's parents were Lewis Rigsby born 1810-12-01 NC +
Elizabeth Deboard born about 1810 NC. They had 10 children,
Joseph being 7th. Lewis is on the census in Lawrence Co KY
from 1830 to 1880, except 1870. For some reason, a lot of
Rigsbys are missing from the census in 1870 Lawrence Co.

Lewis' parents were Thomas Rigsby born 1775-01-17 NC died
1864-10-16 Lawrence Co KY + Aggie Smith born about 1780 NC
died about 1830. They were married on 1801-12-18. They had
at least 3 children, Lewis being the youngest of the 3.
Thomas is on the census in Lawrence Co KY from 1830 to
1860, except 1840 when he is in Floyd Co KY. I think he is
the Thomas in Wilkes Co NC in 1820 and Ashe Co NC in 1810,
but am not positive.

Thomas' father was Drury Rigsby born 1745-01-15 Farquier Co
VA. I still don't know Drury's wife's name. Drury served in
the Revolutionary War.

There were 3 Rigsby immigrants before 1700: Thomas, James,
and John. It seems likely Drury was from Thomas, but I
don't know that for sure.

Thanks for Cynthia's exact birth and death dates. I'll add
that to my notes. Thanks also for the offer of the Collier
info, but I'll pass. I'm really researching just the Rigsby
name, not the collateral descendants. I do like to know who
the Rigsby women married, though, so you've helped me out
to that extent.

Ken
