Rigsby DNA Project -- first results

Howdy folks

We now have results for the first three participants in the
DNA project. The results are promising.

The three people tested come from different lines: Thomas
Rigsby c1760 of Mecklenburg Co NC and TN [R14 in my
database], Lewis Rigsby c1784 of Chatham and Surry Co NC
[R26], and my James Rigsby c1755 of Wake Co NC [R05].

The samples for Lewis and Thomas were identical on 12
markers, and James differed by only one. This shows that
all three men were closely related, but of two different
ancestors. Their branches should join up about 11
generations back, which is roughly the time of the earliest
Rigsby immigrants.
