John Collier, though. All the Rigsby females in the area who were
born about 1862 are accounted for.]
[Cynthia is not d/o Henry Rigsby as many sites claim. He died in 1861
in the Civil War.]
[I suspect Jeff's wife was not a Rigsby. In Salyersville, Magoffin Co
on the 1870 census is a Cynthia Reed age 6. She is the only Cynthia
of the correct age in the county.]

ancestors. She married David Filander Fulkerson b. 1850[-05-17] in MO
[d 1906-11-04] and
had a son names James Thomas Fulkerson b. 1872 in MO and a
daughter Margaret Elizabeth "Lizzy" Fulkerson b. 1882 in MO.
Resided in Maries and Pulaski counties in MO.
[on the 1880 census for Maries Co MO David's wife is Margaret c1857 MO.
The Maries Co Rigsbys are from R56 John, but I don't know of a Margaret
or Martha in his family born around 1857.

was R05.5 James Jr, who was born in 1793 and thus couldn't have a daughter
born 1800. James was born in NC. He did not have a sister Soph*. He had a
sister Susannah who married John Sears, and a sister whose name I still
don't know who married Jeremiah Smith. James did move from Randolph Co MO
to Macon Co MO, but he did not live anywhere near Sophronia.]

Rigsby (no dates) and Nancy Miller (no dates). William died at age 45 of
Bright's disease near Selma,Al. He was a captain in the civil war but
deserted when he became ill. Nancy moved from Selma, to Meridian,
Ms., to Kilburn, La., (or Caldwell) near Oak Grove, La, around 1883.
Nancy died 1908 and is probably buried near Oak Grove, La.

raised two sons, John and Daniel. There may have been others but I have never been informed of
them. Daniel married Frankie Pistole. Johns first wife as a Miss Dodd, a sister to Hiram and Bill Dodd.
Uncle John raised a large family. Rich Mathis was the oldest boy and other boy was named George.
One of the girls married Polk Grizzle and another

QUERY: Alonzo GARRETT b Nov 1880 in IN married a Zula Locke on Oct 5, 1904 in Elkhart
Co, IN. They had a son Robert Garrett in 1905. They divorced and she married a Frank
Rigsby in Berrien Co, MI on Oct 12, 1923. After the divorce, I have no information about
Alonzo until 1912 when his father, THOMAS JEFFERSON GARRETT of Wabash Co, IN

My name is Emily Bodine. If you are from the same lineage that I am,
hopefully some of this will look familiar. The following is some
information that might ring a bell. I am specifically looking for birth
dates, wedding dates, death dates, where buried, whom married, where they
lived (am sure that they lived in southern AL and GA, but where
exactly?), and their children that they had. A quick note- Matilta Rigsby
was found in a pig pen and adopted by the Rigsby's. There are questions
concerning whether or not she had a brother with her that was adopted by
a neighboring family, and also whether Matilta is spelled with a "t" or a
"d" as in Matilda. Dates range from 1800's thru 1900's.

I am originally from Nicholas County, WV and have been attempting to trace
my lineage, but I have come to a stand still. I have traced my grandmothers
family back to England, but my grandfoather's family is a bit more
complicated. Any help I can get would be appreciated.
I am looking for information pertaining to Mary Flora Pearl Rigsby and
Alderson Charles Milam. They were in the area near Nicholas County WV right
around 1910. I know that Mary's mother was Cherokee, and that Charles worked
on the railroads, but that is all the information I have regarding either of
them.
