Would like to ask you if you have a Mariah Rigsby/Rigby who was in GA in the late 1700's-1800's?

My GG grandfather, Thomas Goulding(many ways to spell it)was married to a Mariah unknown. They lived in and around Lumpkin, Stewart Co GA. They married ca 1839, probably in GA and appeared on the 1850-60-70 census records of Stewart Co. Thomas apparently died before 1880 because Mariah moved to Freestone Co TX with son John, and was living in his home in 1880.

I've recently learned that Mariah's maiden name was Rigsby/Rigby. This information came from the death certificate of one of Mariah's daughter.

I see a Mariah listed on your post but can't tell what time period is given for your Mariah.

Do you think there could be a connection? I've been looking long and hard but have yet to find any Rigsbys in or around that part of GA. Sure hope you can help me.

Thanks for any information you may have.
