Ken Hinds, Hi! I am a Rigby descendant from the Elijah Greene Rigby line, Monroe CO, AL. Regarding the info you posted below, George A. Rigby was Elijah G. and China Ida Metts Rigby's son. (My grandmother was 'Ollie', which is actually Olive.)

I've been catching up here a bit, and noticed some posts about this between you and Dan Atwell back in 2008.

'My' Elijah Greene Rigby is twice listed as Green on his
Civil War records. And Jesse Rigby had a son, Green, age 4, on the 1840 census you have recently listed, which matches very closely to my Elijah Greene Rigby. The Elijah Rigby that was living with his brother Jesse on the 1860 Monroe Co, AL Census (which you discussed in the 2008 posts) is NOT 'my' Elijah Greene Rigby, but perhaps his uncle. I suspect that Elijah G. may have been Jesse's son. Just adding some additional info to the Rigby/Rigsby. etc files.

Thanks for all your work, it has been most helpful to me!!!
