1850 Census records confirm Mary (Anna Maria Barnhart) and her husband, Michael Ringer with nearly grown children residing on their farm in Starke County, Ohio. Michael (age 65) and Mary (age 63) resided on their farm with 7 children: Elizabeth (32), Phillip (25), Mary (25), Sally (23), Anna (21), Leah (19) and Michael (the younger) (16). These records are located on page 0472b of the 1850 Census and they are handwritten. Other pages listed possible direct relatives of Michael, Sr., John, William and Jacob Ringer, all in separate households and in the right age group to be independant children of Michael and Mary. Research continues. Anna Maria (Barnhart) left Westmoreland County, PA with her husband Michael Ringer and 2 Barnhart nephews from Butler County, PA to settle and farm in the areas which are now Starke and Medina Counties. Indicates there is more than one Michael Ringer from this area. Anna Maria is the d/o Johan William Barnhart of Westmoreland County, s/o Casper Barnhart of Montgomery County, PA
