John Konrad RIPPSTEIN b. 1834 Hamburg, Germany
Posted by: Luana Leonard (ID *****3496) Date: August 20, 2003 at 08:57:31

JK RIPPSTEIN and a brother came to America, reportedly, to leave behind the demands of his father to become a Tailor, as he was. They came to Texas, I do not know the year but before 1874. I found him in the 1900 Baylor County Texas Census with his wife, Cynthia Patience HARVEY. and a couple of houses down from his son, Elton Alfred RIPPSTEIN 1874-1946 and his wife Susie Etta PEDEN 1879-1918. I believe Elton and his sister, Annie, were both born Linn, MO. Elton is my GGrandfather. I do not have any information other than given re. JK. but I do have most of his descendants. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I am willing to share what I have. Thanks
