Linda: Your Elizabeth, b. ca 1740 is awfully early for the Lancaster County Rissers.. The immigrant ancestor, Peter Risser came to US in 1739. He did have a sister Elizabeth, b. 1743, but she was m. to Henry Hiestand, date unknown. It's possible I guess that this Elizabeth was m. to Mr. Shenk, but I do not have that information re this particular Elizabeth. All other Elizabeths I have are later than the date you give. It would be interesting and very useful to me if you could give me the source of your information RE Elizabeth 1740 m. Peter Shenk. Then I could be more sure of what I am saying.
