John Rist

We are continuing to seek information on a John Rist that died in 1833 in Uniontown, Pa. He was married to a Sarah, (we believe her last name was Sherrick, who went back to Zumbro's) and they had two boys Joesph Samuel and Martin.
After John died, Sarah remarried an Alexander Hamilton Stewart and had approximately 7 - 9 more children, many of which did not live to adulthood. They were farmers for a time in Dawson, Pa.
Later, Sarah went to live with Martin in Toulon, Illinois where we understand she is buried.
We are looking for any information on this family. The Rist name was common in the Uniontown area, with the same Christian names, but different bloodlines. Some of the families came from Scotland, Switzerland, England, and ours we think came from the Alsace Lorraine.
After 20 years of being "stonewalled", we would appreciate any information. Thanks, Vikki
