Hi Steve. I haven't tracked forward William RIST's line, but I can tell you that by 1881 he was a collier in Monmouth, Wales, so there may be a connection. He was married to Catherine, and known children are Catherine (born 1858), Eleanor (1864), William J (1866) and Benjamin (1872)-all born in Wales in what looks like 'Rhymney'
Hope this helps. Do let me know if you find a connection with any of these people!
Kind regards
