otto is my grandfather and i live on the home farm. my understanding is that otto-richard etc were born in a village in what is now belarussia, alnog the visula river where there father ludvig was a bridgekeeper. at one time we had a map that was researched in the librarty of congress that shows the village. as far as ernst goes he died in 1945 or so shortly after the war and i think in the hamburg area. there are letters that they wrote back and forth during the war and shortly thereafter they stopped. he never married but was living with some cousins or other relative at that time.
