I am wanting more info on my late father, Dean Oakley Reidt-Carlsbad, CA. I would appreciate corresponding with anyone who is a relative of his. I have 2 half sisters I understand..Candace and Deana? and one half brother-Tim and have never met them or spoke with them in my life. I am now 63 yrs old residing currently in Illinois. In the past I lived in Scottsdale, AZ after graduating from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ with a degree in accountancy. I had gone to college there to play baseball. I attended high school at Alton Senior High School in Alton, IL. My mother and I have visited with Dean's sister-Alice and her husband Ernie in St. Louis in the past- more so when I was a young boy, but it has been many years since I last saw her. My grandfather, Fred Reidt (Dean's father) would come to visit me approx once a yr when I was a very a young boy and give me a $5 bill on each visit. I think Dean shortly thereafter married a lady named Barb Richotte after his divorce from my mother Lois ( her maiden name was Taynor) and she is now 84 and doing well. Dean and my mother divorced when I was approx 1-2 yrs old and she had several children from her prior marriage. Last and only time I ever met Dean in person was when I was 18 yrs old and he came to see me pitch a high school baseball game during his business stay in the St. Louis area in the spring of 1969. I had spoke to him by phone just a few times throughout the years since and it was always me that reached out to make the contact with him. It did a little strange talking to him cause I never ever really knew him. It is my hope that a relative of his who reads this post contact me to help "fill in some of the blanks"...thanks for any help on this.
