Vicente Rizzi Mexico

I'm trying to trace my grandfather's family history. His name was Vicente Rizzi (it could have been Vicenzio...). He was from Terranova di Pollino, in Potenza born in February 14, between 1892-1896. He escaped from World War I (he fought in the war as a soldier) accompanied by a couple of cousins and arrived first to Brazil; a few years later left for Mexico were he settled. He arrived to Mexico with a Brazilian passport using the name Vicente Rizzi Tofaro. He always mentioned he had a sister in New York, I believe her name was Carmela Rizzi, but he never contacted her. Knowing italians don't use two surnames as in Latinamerica, I would guess his mother's last name was Tofaro (could have been Tufaro). He always talked about the region of Trento (he even named his dog Trento); but never ever talked about his parents or other family members.
My grandfather died in 1982, but ever since we have always wondered if there has been any other relatives. Our family tree is blank on this area.
I would greatly appreciate any information you may have that could help me trace my father's ancestors or other relatives. Thank you.
