rusty, as you can see by my last name i am from the family of frank l robar. he was my grandfather on my fathers side. i may be able to fill in some of the ??? you have. frank was indeed born in brandon, vermonts, a close part of town known as forestdale. he married my grandmother helen marie(ellen)boulette which had other spellings over the yrs. she was born in scroon lake n.y. the spelling of her name i got from my fathers baptism records. frank senior or francois which is his real name was born in three riveres, quebec. that is all i could find out as i came to a dead end in ferrisburg where his wife was born, but a fire had destroyed all their records sometime back. we have some info that we are not able to document, that francois had 9 brothers, but no sisters and that they fled canada during one of the wars between the french and english. as the story goes that i have heard the boys spread out all over the northern tier states from the canadian maritimes to minnesota. on my fathers birth certificate of which i have a copy the spelling of the last name was robare an americanized version of robert. the early records of frank l. was his last name was robert. ellen's dad was louis boulette or boulet, scroon lake n.y. her mother was mary stafford from england the date of marriage for frank and ellen was oct. 27 1891 in north adams, ma. married by pastor louis leduc, in the church of notre dame. francois and eugenie had a number of children one of which was frank, there were also 2 or 3 stillborn children. my father was milton john and my mother lillian gonyea. i have 1 brother neil, and 4 sisters eileen, jacquline, janice and beverly, all still living. the oldest eileen is 80 the baby is beverly at 60. i am 71. if there are any ???? you need answered feel free to email me. i hope to go to the churches in trois riveres some day to see if i can learn more. ihope i have been of some help. this is definitly not a perfect science. milton
