I just happened to see your message on the Robar geneology list - I don't check it very often obviously. Unfortunately I can't tell you what you want to know. My knowledge of the Robars is confined largely to those found in Annapolis County - most of them the descendants of Abraham Robert (Robar) who came to Nova Scotia on the "Speedwell" in 1752, and settled at North-West Range, Lunenburg with others from Montbelliard, France. One of his descendants, John Robar, married Martha Banks in Digby and from them came our Robar line. I find it difficult to find anything about the people of Halifax - too many of them, and the people of Guysborough County.
