Thanks, I have Father Donat Robichaud's second book, that is about the descendants of Jean-Baptiste Robichaud, that has pictures of a lot of the family members. plus I'm not really equipped to handle pictures. I don't know enough about computers yet! I did not find some of the names of your family members in Fr. Donat's book. He mentions one Maxime, but not yours. On the other hand, he refers to my Uncle Edmund as being "aine" in his family. Actually Uncle Ed was the fifth of eleven children. Ergo--my confidence in the information in his book has slipped a bit. Genealogy is a tricky business. To quote a line from HMS Pinafore "things are seldom what they seem"
Here's one for you to think about. Gaspard was my great grandfather (probably your great-great) was wed three times. His daughter Emily wed my grandfather Edourd Robichaud. His son Gaspard wed my grandfather's sister! Some years after my grandparents immigrated to the US the son of Gaspard (another Edouard) also immibgrated to Athol--here he wed another Robichaud (Azilda I think)---so right in my own back yard I have a rather huge pile of Robichauds. In addition four of the seven sons of Daniel Robichaud of "le Goulet" section of Shippegan also came to Athol. Actually if I hadn't grown up with them, I would have a hard time sorting them out. In the, approximately 100 years since my grandparents came here, and my Dad was here shortly after--You wouldn't believe how many people I'm related to! Doesn't matter what their name is--we're related! I try to explain this to my kids, and they nfind it hard to believe.
