I know it is difficult for people to understand first anyone with our surname and the spelling variations are all related. They didn't have many partners to choose from in those days. When Earl passed away the database was around 36,000 entries. It is now just over 75,550 entries. We are a prolific bunch. I told a friend of mine I had been exchanging emails with someone I related to in 14 different ways. They looked at me as if I was nuts. They found it incredible that out of the blue I could be in contact with someone so well related, yet we had never met. Personally I think it is wonderful.

Re Donat's book. I don't have a copy myself but my sister did. I found many errors in the book. There is a photo in the book of my parent's wedding picture.

I have a long distance telephone plan that allows me to call the US if sometime you would like to chat on the phone.
