I am not related (just curious) but does anyone know of the family of Texas Ranger James W. or M. Robinett who participated in the Battle of Bird's Creek, Bell Co., TX, May 26, 1839? The stories describe him as a young German ranger. He shot Chief Buffalo Hump in the neck killing him and thus ending the conflict.
