I'm looking for info on Stephen Steve Robinette. My gggGrandfather, Born Jan, 1828. Lee Co. Va. . Later moved to Pike Co. Ky. His Parents were Nathan Robinette and Nancy ?. I found a site that has him listed as a war vet, But only has his name, And buried Vareny Ky,Ray Cemetery. I'd like to find out if he did serve in the civil war, And if he did, Was he in the Union Or confederate. I do know his brother William fought for the north in the civil war, And died in a prison camp in Va. But I'm not having any luck finding Stephen in any roster. Any info on him would be greatly appreciated. My line is
5.Ernest Verlin Robinette/ My father
4.Edward Robinette/ My Grandfather
3.Lilburn Robinette
2.William Robinette
1.Stephen Robinette
I'll also post the link that list him as a war vet. The spelling is Steve Robnet. http://pikecounty.potterflats.com/vetsqy.htm
