I am part of a group of researchers who are trying to collect info on all the War of 1812 & the Civil War Veteran's of Monroe Co., WI
We have several Rockwoods in our data base. Following is all the information we have on them.If you can help us fill in the blanks we would be grateful. I have the service records for these men and can send them if wanted.
James H. Rockwood.We need his parents names, birth/death & burial info; his wife's maiden name & her parents names & birth/death/burial for the three of them.Also we had an Anna on our list of children but did not have Hester. Are they the same or did Hester d. young?
Also, when & where did James die and in what cemetery was he buried?
Delorama Rockwood, son of James.I need his birth/death/burial info, date of his marriage to Julia A. Cooper; his children's names and where he lived before and after the war.
Theodore Hamilton b. c. 1840-1, son of James H. & Cynthia., m. Julia Ann Boyle, dau. of Patrick Boyle & Susan.I need birth/death/burial for Theodore & Julia,& the names of their chilren
We are fortunate to have funding for our book and can include photos and all letters/diaries, etc. that pertain to the War. If you have such and would like to share, please let us know.
