I have been researching my Roddy heritage. My father is Gerald Thomas
Roddy (Jerry), his father was Oran L. Roddy, Orans father was Luther
Roddy.Luther was married to Ethel B. Rasco and he died somewhere around 1946.Luther Roddy came to Texas from Tenn. (I believe) and he settled in Mixon Texas where my grandfather was born.Luther had 3 sons, Herman, RJ, and Oran (10-22-1912 to 11-1995),who married Sammie Elizabeth Clements (b. 2-14-1918 to
3-1995)Oran and Sammie married when she was 14yrs old and were married for 64 years. They had 4 children, Larry (deceased), Jerry (my father), Sharon Roddy Berry (lives in Tyler Texas) and Judy (deceased at age 32). Larry had two sons, David and Mark, and an adopted daughter Laura.Jerry has two daughters, Shellie and Beth(me), and one son, Kerry.Sharon has three sons (Mike, Tim and Jeff), and Judy had a daughter (Mary) and 3 or 4 sons. She died at age 32 of viral phnemonia. If anyone has any more information on this Roddy line please let me know.I want to find out where this line came from, etc.
