In a tiny family cemetery in Waynesburg, Pa. there are 6 stones for Rhodes. This is a small town just north of Morgantown, WVA. on Rt. 79 - basically a coal mining town.
THOMAS I. RHODES - Died 12/16/1860 in Wappello Co., Iowa (59) His remains buried here by brother James.
WILLIAM RHODES, SR. Born @ Newport, Rhode Island, 3/15/1750 - 1/1/1844, wife - ELEANOR - 9/24/1772 - 6/1834;
JOSEPH RHODES - D-7/12/1813 - 51 yrs, 10 Mo.;
LEVI B. RHODES - d-7/2/1862 - 9 yrs 2mo., sone of James & Mary;
MARY, daughter of Charles & Mercy JONCROSS, and wife of JAMES RHODES - D-9/11/18_0 age 34 yrs, 2 mos.
WILLIAM I. "N & CA QUIGLEY" D-1/21/1858, 6 yrs. 3 mos, 3 days.

This cemetery sits at the very top of a hill about 500 ft. above the town - overlooking the town, maybe as far as 5 miles around. It is surrounded by a stone wall made of large granite blocks.
