Herman Rode b.JUL1828 d. 26JUL1867. Married
Mathilda Cathryn Burmeister 5APR1857.

Herman was buried at the Lutheran Cemetery, Middle Village, Borough of Queens, New York (Long Island?)on the 28JUL1867. His age was 39years. He died of Delirium Tremens.

Herman and Cathryn had 6 sons (verbal pass along in Robert Craig family), who were whalers and all died at sea.

Mathilda later married Robert Craig on 10FEB1870 in New York City.

Hopefully this will help a RODE out there.
I have a copy of a Certificate of Burial written on 17JUL1918, that was required by Mathilda to get Robert Craig's pension (proof of 1st husbands passing).
