RODE/KRAUSKOPF. Seeking information on James/Jacob RODE born June 1817 Hesse Cassel, Germany married Mary born 1823 Hesse Cassel, Germany. Children: Anna/Annie RODE born 1848 Hesse Cassel, Germany, and John Rode born 1856, Baltimore, Maryland. 1900 Census states Jacob RODE was a piano maker at a piano factory in Baltimore, Maryland. Annie RODE married Peter KRAUSKOPF born 1840 Baltimore, Maryland. who was a beer saloon keeper in 1870 Census. The family moved to Washington, DC, where Peter KRAUSKOPF died
about 1878 and Annie RODE KRAUSKOPF married Peterís brother Charles KRAUSKOPF before 1880. Mother of Peter and Charles KRAUSKOPF was Catherine born 1816 Prussia/Germany. Have not been able to locate passenger ship or naturalization papers. Most of this family came to Washington, DC, and are buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, a German Cemetery in Washington, DC. Hope someone can offer some help. Have been searching for years and have come up with nothing.
