This might help you get started on a history through census records. This is a link to Texas Death Certificates, 1890-1976. Click on the map for Canada, U. S. and Mexico, then scroll down to the link for Texas Deaths 1890-1976. In the search field all that you need to fill in is Felix Rodgers. When the info comes up, by passing the "mouse" over the name you will get printed information, or click on the document symbol to the left of the name to get the death certificate image.

I saw the death certificate for Felix J. Rodgers as well as for some of his children.
