Stephen Rodgers/Rogers, Anne Arundel County, Maryland

I am looking for more info on the family of Stephen Rogers. 1820 census shows him in District 4 of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. This census shows 4 males under 10, 1 male 26-45 years old, 2 females under 10, one female to 16 years old and one to 45 years old.

One of the children was Stephen b 1810 and d 1964, Anne Arundel County, Maryland for both.

Stephen shows up as a property owner on a map done in 1860, on the western edge of District 4 of AA County, just north of Millersville. (his post office is listed as Millersville in other census as well)

Stephen married Sarah Disney 1 Apr 1839.

I have read that he had three children with Sarah Disney, but I have no sources for these:

Jenny b 1839
Lewis b 1831
William b 1843

He married Eleanor Jenkins 18 Jul 1848.

Stephen and Eleanor had three children:

Ellen I. b 1850 married Horatio Ridout 8 Jan 1875
George b 1950
Stephen Thomas b abt 1858 - 1929

Before his death in 1864, his name changed from Rogers to Rodgers.

I follow Stephen Thomas from here, since he is my direct line. Stephen Thomas' name is also spelled both Rogers and Rodgers in documents. Though all of his children were spelled Rodgers:

Stephen Thomas (who also went by Thomas S) married Margaret (no nee) in 1878. They had three children:

Mary E b 1880 m Alphus G Pumphry 19 Nov 1902
Lola M b 1881
Norman C b 23 Nov 1886 d 8 Jun 1962 m Antonette Robey 1905

Stephen then married Sarah C. (no nee) b 1861 d 1964, about 1891. By 1910, they are showing up in the Baltimore, rather then Anne Arundel County.

I know more about the family at this point, as I have a living relative who remembers them.

Anything on the families of Stephen Rogers or Stephen Thomas Rogers/Rodgers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Dennis Rodgers
