Tracing descendents of Harper RODGERS, b. 1848, New York state. Served in Co. "F" 13th Illinois Volunteers in the Civil War. Married Augusta WOOD in 1869. Harper died in 1918 - lived at 406 Moen Ave., Joliet. Had lived in Will County since about 1850. Children of Harper and Augusta: Mary Emily, Fredrick Harper, Rose, Bertram, Frank, Alvern(Alvin), Ella, Walter, Charles, and Charlotte(Lottie). Harper was a brother of my great grandfather, Norman RODGERS, and, the son of Thomas RODGERS and Roby BOVEE RODGERS, early pioneers in Will County. Harpers siblings were: Norman, Olivia, Mary E., Lydia, Eudora, Malinda, and Festina.
