Hello Judi,
I and my uncle, Dr. John Fleming Rodgers' grandson, went up to Versailles and found his grave and cleaned up the marker. There is another Rodgers, a girl, buried close by but I am unsure of who it was.
We rode down to Clifton, a couple of miles from Versailles, where my great grandfather and family actually lived and where my grandfather grew up, fishing in that river, etc. No one we spoke to knew of any Rodgers or the home they might have lived in. One old guy who was born and raised in Clifton did say that years ago there was a log cabin set agains the hill. A cave was used as one of the rooms or something. They tore it down when they built the paved the road that goes along the hill above Clifton he said.
Later,
Dave
