Hi, Manfred

Thanks for your reply. Its good to know that our Henry is related to all the other Rodiecks in Oldenburg - now to figure out how!

I don't have a great deal on Henry J. Rodieck - and what I do have all occurred after he arrived in the U.S.

He was born 29 Jul 1845 in Germany and died 25 May 1909 in Palestine, Anderson County, Texas. He married Minnie Wilhelmina Kunneke (not sure about the spelling) in New Orleans, Louisiana about 1868. They had 7 children:
Charles Augustus, Wilhelmina Henriette, Henry William, Frank Emmet, George Jennings, Emma Mary Babeth and Annie Mae.

Henry bought land in Palestine and made his living as a truck farmer (raised and sold vegetables). I have heard that his middle initial "J" was for John, but do not know for sure.

Henry is my husband's great grandfather through his son, Frank Emmet Rodieck who married Gertrude Mae Schnorr. Their daughter, Charlotte Frances Rodieck, was my husband's mother.

Thanks again for your help. I hope the above will be of help in placing Henry in the Rodieck family.

Linda
